Snagly (Zyntec) is built to keep your projects on your device. This page explains which data the app handles, why, and who else is involved.
In short
No account is required and there is no sign-in.
Your projects, items, photos, floor plans, signatures and report branding (logo, company details) are stored only on your device. We have no server that stores them.
No advertising, no tracking (App Tracking Transparency) and no analytics tools are used.
Data leaves your device only in these cases: when you use the AI features (voice notes and defect suggestions), when you buy or restore Pro, when the app crashes (a crash report), and when you share or export something yourself.
Camera, photos and microphone
The camera is used to take photos of items and plans. When you pick an image from your library, the app can access only the images you choose.
The microphone and speech recognition are used only while you record a voice note. Speech is turned into text on your device; the audio is neither stored nor sent anywhere.
AI features
Voice notes: when you dictate a note, its text (not the audio) and the names of your project's areas and trades are sent to our server so the note can be split into separate items. Defect suggestions: when you ask for a suggestion, a reduced copy of that one photo (about 512 pixels wide) is sent so a title and trade can be suggested.
Our server runs on Supabase (Supabase, Inc., https://supabase.com/privacy) and passes the request to Google's Gemini API (Google LLC, https://ai.google.dev/gemini-api/terms) to produce the result. The text and photos are used only to answer that request and are not stored on our server.
To apply fair-use limits, the app creates an anonymous ID for the AI features. Our server stores only how many AI requests that ID has made and when — no note text, no photos, and nothing that identifies you.
You always review AI results before they are saved, and you can use Snagly fully without the AI features.
Purchases
Payments are processed by Apple; your card details never reach us.
RevenueCat, Inc. is used to verify your Pro subscription. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID generated by the app, your purchase and subscription records, the app version, device type and OS version, your App Store country, and which screen the purchase was made from. This is used only to unlock what you bought and to understand which purchase screens work. Details: https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy
Crash reports
If the app crashes or hits a serious error, a crash report is sent to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., https://sentry.io/privacy/) so we can find and fix the cause.
A crash report contains the technical error and stack trace, device model, iOS and app version, the device state at the time (such as free memory), language, the name of the open screen, whether Pro is active, and the app's anonymous ID. It contains no projects, photos, names or e-mail addresses. Our Sentry project is set not to store IP addresses.
Sharing and backups
Reports, CSV and Excel files and project files are sent only where you choose (for example Mail, Messages, AirDrop or Files); they are not sent to us.
Depending on your device settings, app data may be included in your iPhone or iPad backup (iCloud or computer), which is handled by Apple.
Retention and deletion
You can delete items and projects in the app at any time. Deleting the app deletes all of its data on your device.
AI usage counts are kept only as long as needed to apply the monthly limits. Crash reports are deleted automatically by Sentry after their retention period. If you want the anonymous records at RevenueCat or on our server deleted, write to us; your purchase history is also kept by Apple.
Your rights
You can contact us to exercise your rights of access, correction and deletion under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar laws. Because your projects stay on your device, requests usually concern only the anonymous purchase, AI usage or crash records described above.
Children
Snagly is a professional tool. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If the app starts processing new data, this page is updated first; the date above shows the latest change.
